Surf|Turf 8: Sink|Swim + Yusho

For the next installment of our Surf|Turf series we're excited to team up with renowned Japanese grill and neighborhood noodle spot Yusho for another delicious six-course exploration of sea and shore. On Sunday, May 15th we're offering a one-night-only prix fixe featuring Yusho's unique take on 'Turf' while our Chef Matt Danko handles the 'Surf,' plus an optional wine & sake pairing from our own Danny Shapiro.  Seats are very limited and reservations are required, so book your spot for this inspired evening soon!

Seats are just $65 per person; simply make a reservation for any time between 6:00pm and 10:00pm on Sunday, May 15th.

  At the end of this month we officially turn one and we can't wait to celebrate! So on Sunday April 3rd we're throwing an all-day birthday bash with $1 oysters, $6 sparkling cocktails and $6 rosé (because we know how much you love those things - and so do we!). On the dinner menu, Chef Danko is bringing back some favorite dishes from our Surf|Turf series throughout the year, so get ready to feast on some things you missed, or thought you'd never feast on again!   We'll be serving brunch from 10-4 as usual and when dinner kicks in at 5 we'll have a limited number of those all-star items available.  Dollar oysters and drink specials all day and all night!  Come celebrate with us, won't you?! And as a very special birthday present, we're taking our Sunday Brunch game up a notch.  Starting Saturday April 2nd, we're doing brunch on Saturdays too! Every week from 10-4. Surf|Turf 7: Sink|Swim + The Butcher & Larder

Our Surf|Turf series continues! On Sunday, March 20th we welcome guest chef Rob Levitt from The Butcher & Larder -- Chicago's first local, sustainable whole-animal butcher shop. So the "Turf" portion of this dinner is sure to be out of this world!  Our chef Matt Danko will be providing equally amazing "Surf" courses, making this one-night-only, six-course prix fixe nothing short of stellar. An optional beverage pairing from our own Danny Shapiro will also be available, so you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the feast.

Shuck-A-Thon!

Join us and The Bon Vivants on Tuesday March 15th as we team up bartenders and shuckers from your favorite spots, going head-to-head and shell-to-shell in an exciting oyster shucking AND eating contest!  Two-person teams will have 15 minutes to shuck and slurp as many oysters as they can to earn trophies, prizes and major street cred!  You'll cheer them on while enjoying $1 oysters and cocktail specials featuring Rutte Gin, Tequila Ocho and Ancho Reyes -- so really, everybody wins.  The excitement starts at 8pm!

Surf|Turf 6: Sink|Swim + Mindy Segal

We're incredibly excited to announce that on Sunday January 31 guest chef Mindy Segal will join us for a one-of-a-kind, six-course dinner exploring the flavors of land, sea and of course, dessert!  Continuing our Surf|Turf series for the sixth time, Chef Matt Danko will bring the "surf" and award-winning chef, author and owner of Mindy's HotChocolate will bring the "turf" (and some sweets...) to create a unique tasting menu only available from 6pm to 10pm on the 31st.   The cost is $65 per person and an optional Beverage Pairing from our own Danny Shapiro will also be available.

To book your spot, make a reservation between 6pm and 10pm on Sunday 1/31.  A credit card is required to secure your reservation and cancellations will be accepted up to 48 hours before the event, after which a cancellation fee will apply.

*PLEASE NOTE:  This is the only menu we are offering the night of Sunday 1/31 - our regular menu and Restaurant Week prix fixe menu will not be available.  After 10pm, we will offer a limited menu along with our Dollar Oyster Happy Hour, and Sunday Brunch will be served from 10am to 4pm as usual.  Hope you will join us!

New Year's Eve Special Menu

When the clock strikes midnight on December 31st, we want you to know you’ve experienced the best of what 2015 had to offer. So we’re offering six incredible courses on New Year’s Eve from Chef Matt Danko. $75 dollars gets you a seat at the table with an optional beverage pairing for  $35 and we all know from experience that a ‘bubbles only’ evening will make your first 2016 morning a real headache, so let us make some decisions for you.

There will be two very civilized seatings (at 5:30pm and 8:30pm) because we know your holiday schedule is important, and you have places to be when that ball drops, whether you’re heading home to the sofa or out to a killer cocktail party. Reservations are required, but they’re easier to make (and keep) than resolutions, and tables can be booked right here on our website!

 

(Oh, speaking of the next morning -- we've got you covered there too, we'll be open for Brunch 10am to 4pm on New Year's Day!)
